Product Description:
Los Angeles is all about the sweet life: hot clubs, cute guys, designer . . . everything. Nineteen-year-old Jane Roberts can't wait to start living it up. She may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works, and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun.
When Jane and Scarlett are approached by a producer who wants them to be on his new series, a "reality version of Sex and the City," they can hardly believe their luck. Their own show? Yes, please!
Soon Jane is TV's hottest star. Fame brings more than she ever imagined possible for a girl from Santa Barbarafree designer clothes, the choicest tables at the most exclusive clubs, invites to Hollywood premieresand she's lapping up the VIP treatment with her eclectic entourage of new pals. But those same friends who are always up for a wild night are also out for a piece of Jane's spotlight.
In a city filled with people chasing after their dreams, it's not long before Jane wakes up to the reality that everyone wants something from her, and nothing is what it seems to be.
L.A. Candy is a deliciously entertaining novel about what it's like to come of age in Hollywood while starring in a reality TV show, written by a girl who has experienced it all firsthand: Lauren Conrad.

I actually really enjoyed this book. It was light, fun, and a perfect read. I will def be getting the next 1. Congrats Lauren for graduating from the Hills. You certainly left at a good time BUT The hills is nothing without you.

I read this book very quickly. It was easy to read. I have to say the ending was bit aprupt but now I am looking forward to the next book. I was suprised by this. It was a fun summer read.

What can I say? Lauren has honestly showed no class, especially in recent events such as walking out on her own shows, then flipping the fans off. Now I see that this has been published. Resources used to publish this book could've been used for much more important and sufficient things, rather than for this book.
Rating: -
This book is very immaturely written. I think Lauren should keep her day job. I find it moving very fast and it is more for grade school level except she uses the word "pot" once. It lacks structure and the plot is similar to that of the hills only more annoying.

What's with all these celebrities that think they "have" to "write" books? Lauren is awful at writing books. The publishing industry has gone too far down hill, they can make money off anybody. Just about everybody can drop a book. This is not Lauren's calling, she should stick with The Hills!!
This book was just garbage!
