Product Description: #1 New York Times bestseller Nicholas Sparks turns his unrivaled talents to a new tale about love found and lost, and the choices we hope we'll never have to make.
Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life-- boating, swimming, and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies--he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door. Despite his attempts to be neighborly, the appealing redhead seems to have a chip on her shoulder about him . . . and the presence of her longtime boyfriend doesn't help. Despite himself, Travis can't stop trying to ingratiate himself with his new neighbor, and his persistent efforts lead them both to the doorstep of a journey that neither could have foreseen. Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, THE CHOICE ultimately confronts us with the most heartwrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

An easy read that made you feel connected with the characters. Wish it would be turned into a movie

Love the way Nicholas Sparks can draw you into his stories of love and loss.
It was like a tapestry woven with a story of love and life's sometimes tough
heartwrentching decisions. Gabby and Travis become soulmates who share a love that everyone wishes to have at least once in their life. This book brought me
to tears and then... I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone.
Ordered this book and it arrived quickly, it's a quick read. I have read
almost all of Nicholas Sparks books and have loved everyone of them.

Book club book. Maybe I would have like this book when I was in 10th grade. This is the type of book that makes me think "hey, I could write." Just like I think "I could act" when I see, say, Cameron Diaz in a movie. Then I see Meryl Streep in a movie and I think," Wow, I can't act like that." For a "wow" writer, read Elizabeth Strout.

This is the first book by Nicholas Sparks that I have read. While I enjoyed the story line I thought it could have been better written. There was so much more the writer could have done with this story and I kept thinking of the "what" in the gaps of time he used, but not in a good way. I do plan to read a few of his other books before deciding if I read them all...

This has been one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books. I could not put it down.
