I'm writing this during Burn Notice's 3rd season "mid-break." Being the BN junkie that I am, I decided to read this book for a quick fix (no pun intended) until the season picks back up in January. It was a pretty good read. You don't feel as if you're reading about totally different characters and like any other good book, you're drawn into the scenery, action, etc. A fun read for Burn Notice fans.

I picked up this book because I enjoy the television series, and "Burn Notice: The fix" reads just like the show. Everyone is included - Michael, Fiona, Sam and even his mom. Sam gets Michael to take on the case of Cricket O'Conner and her missing husband and fortune. I easily visualized the characters and the situations and therefore zip right through this story. Fans of the show will love it. Non viewers may think it as just an okay story.

this book will help fill in the empty space in your life between dvd releases. the author has done a good job finding Michael Westen's
"voice" as the book is told in the same first person style as the series with Michael essentially narrating what is happening, why it is happening and what it all means. The plot follows the same 2 pronged approach as the tv episodes with a human interest 'side job' and continuing efforts to find out who burned him and why. Fiona and Sam figure prominently, as usual, although we get a bit more insight into how Sam's intelligence network functions. Stuff gets blown up, people get shot- usually not fatally, and trips are made to the hardware store to gather supplies and chemicals. For those of us who find the members of Michael Westen's family annoying, you'll be glad to know Madeline pops up only briefly and the brother not at all. I only rated this book a 3 star because you really need the the visuals from the tv series playing in the back of your mind to fully flesh out this creation and bring it to life.
