Product Description: The brothers are back-the latest installment in J. R. Ward's sizzling #1New York Times bestselling series.
J. R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood novels have introduced readers to a "different, creative, dark, violent, and flat-out amazing" (All About Romance)world. Now, as the vampire warriors defend their race against their slayers, one male's loyalty to the Brotherhood will be tested-and his dangerous mixed blood revealed...
Rehvenge has always kept his distance from the Brotherhood-even though his sister is married to a member, for he harbors a deadly secret that could make him a huge liability in their war against the lessers. As plots within and outside of the Brotherhood threaten to reveal the truth about Rehvenge, he turns to the only source of light in his darkening world, Ehlena, a vampire untouched by the corruption that has its hold on him-and the only thing standing between him and eternal destruction.

This was a very good continuation of the black dagger brotherhood series, however. The scenes between rev and his lady are few and far between and the sex scenes even fewer than that. Even though they are supposed to be the leads of this book, they were actually more of an afterthought. The Romance in this vampire romance was very weak. But it was still a well written story overall, just not much of a romance.

I was hooked on the Black Dagger Brotherhood series over the summer.....very juicy!!!!!!! Think a very adult version of the Twilight series! This book does a good job of answering questions and introducing new story lines. A must read if you have followed all of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books.

Just finished reading this book and absolutely loved it! I didn't imagine I could feel the same about Rehvenge as I do the Brotherhood, but I do!
Look forward so much to the next book in the series!!!

I finished reading Rehv's book a few days ago. I had plans to take it slow and savor it, but that never works as planned. I finished it in about three days, the story really sucked me in and I loved every mintue. There is something about each brother I like and I've enjoy all the books. While Zsadist has always been my favorite brother, I think Lover Avenged is the best story in the series.
Once's again there are different plots going on. Lassiter and Tohr were great. It was also nice that we got to see more of Wrath and Beth. Even though the brothers & their Shellens appear in the other books I feel Wrath and Beth have been pushed out of the picture alot.
I was never a big fan of Rehv's but this book really made me like him. The development between Rehv and Ehlena was sweet, tempting and very sexy. The only things that I didn't really like were the Lessers (sorry but they bore me to no end). Then there is John Matthew. I don't like the turn his character has taken. But I assume and hope the issues will get resolved in future books. Other than those two factors I felt the book was solid and a great read.

I honestly didn't think I'd like it. I was wary of a sypath story, since she hadn't really gotten into what they were about. I ended up really enjoying it and it is one of my favorites. I think after the Phury book, she redeemed herself with this one. I actually liked Lover Enshrined too, but I was disappointed in how she prestented Phury. This one was really well written and presented and I look forward to more about the the sympaths (Yay for 'Lover Mine' with John and Xhex!).
