Rating: - R.I.P Freddy Krueger...YEAH RIGHT!!!
After trying to kill Alice and her unborn baby, Freddy is back and trying to get in touch with his daughter! His daughter is now an adult and working as a psychiatrist. She tries to help rebellious teens with their problems. When she meets a guy who claims he doesn't know who he is, she takes him to Springwood so he'll remember something. Meanwhile, the teens go to an abandoned house to get away from things. I think it's kinda funny when Freddy is attacking a blind kid in his dreams, and Freddy is right behind him trying to get his attention. I also like when they show Freddy in the past when he was a kid, then as a teenager, then before the parents burned him alive, and the demon worms pick him to do the thing he is best known for. Can Freddy's daughter put an end to him once and for all? If you love the Freddy series, hopefully, you'll love FREDDY'S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE!!!!
Rating: - Not as bad as you have read.
Interesting as it is, Freddy's Dead, The Final Nightmare is about as "Final" as Friday The 13th; The Final Chapter was. The biggest complaint I always hear about this film is that it was supposed to be the last one because they killed Freddy, okay, and how many other times did they kill Freddy? I seem to remember him getting the slash, if you pardon the pun, in almost every one of these films in the series. Is the film bad? No, not really.
The origin parts really shine, contrary to some reviews here, and really give you a bit of a feel of what Kruegers childhood and subsequent adulthood was like when he was killing children. It gets a bit on the brutal side at times as the story telling here is actually quite serious, unlike most of the rest of the film which is one campy scene after another. Anyone though that can't tell that this was how the film was supposed to be presented really needs to go back and watch movies like Army Of Darkness and Cemetery Man to remember what the old tongue in cheek folms are like. Can they be bad and over the top, yup, and that's because they are supposed to be. What the movie is lacking in gore, it has some pretty funny parts and a well put together package. The 3D scenes are well put together, and the movie is just a good time, the way these were meant to be. Seriously, if you like the Emn Street movies, and for some reason you have lived under a rock and missed this one, I'd buy it and check it out. Horrow fan and not seen the Elm Street films? Rating: - 3-D Sequences barely save this sub-par finish to the series
To fully appreciate this film you have to either seen it in the theater or have a DVD player. The 3D sequence is the film's saving glory. The film seems like it was rushed because the script is bland. I think if the film had brought back Wes Craven then maybe it would've been a superior finish to one of the greatest film series in history.
Rating: - Wow... That sucked
The worst of the series right here. How can the "Final Nightmare" have one of the worst endings? Whenever I see Dream Warriors(especially) or Dream Master, I think that's the way Freddy should've went out. This drivel along with part five should have never been made.
Lord, where do I begin? First the characters. This the only NOES movie I couldn't wait for the characters to be tormented and meet a grisly demise. The first guy's torment was funny. After that it was just plain ridiculous. They all were ridiculous with those straight cartoony deaths with very cheap gore. This is what Woody Woodpecker would do if he smoked crack and became horror.
Forget about watching a scary horror movie. This trash misses it about a light year. It barely qualifies as a slasher. Freddy didn't slash a damn thing. The plot was interesting when they started to reveal Freddies past. But after the death scenes especially, this movie just lost whatever spark it might of had. I hate this movie. To me, it didn't do anything right and I feel it's a waste of time.
