This is a very practical handbook, both for backyard poultry keeping as well as for commercial poultry farmers. It is quite complete in the various health aspects, with excellent drawings and overviews. It is well updated in technical information. Excellent value for a very nice price.

Very informative book although it can be a bit scary reading about all the dangers that beset chickens. I've read it in advance of problems.

This is the third book by Gail Demerow I have in my "farm" library. Like the other two, it is well on it's way to being a highlighted, dog-eared favorite resource for this small scale farmer.
