I love my chickens and am thankful to be able to learn with ease how to better care for them, especially in times when I must act fast to keep them healthy. There is detailed info on parasite/bug/disease control that comes in handy when I see odd behaviors in my chickens, as well as details on housing care to give them an environment that encourages health. the book is great and answers lots of questions. it is well organized and easy to read. a must for ANY poultry person or group.

This is a very practical handbook, both for backyard poultry keeping as well as for commercial poultry farmers. It is quite complete in the various health aspects, with excellent drawings and overviews. It is well updated in technical information. Excellent value for a very nice price.

Very informative book although it can be a bit scary reading about all the dangers that beset chickens. I've read it in advance of problems.
