I read this author's "72 Hours" first and what a difference! Apparently from the other reviews on both novel(ella)s of Stacey's, I'm bucking the tide. I really liked "72 Hours", this one not so much. The proofreading/editing was terrible! The plot was slow and oh so predictable! I did finish it because I almost NEVER put away a book without finishing, but it was not easy. It's always frustrating to find sentences that no one apparently read, misspelled words, etc. I MIGHT read another Stacey book, but I'd have to see really good reviews to get me to buy one! But then, compare the reviews of this book with those of "72 Hours" and who knows?

Owner of The Riverside Inn Bed and Breakfast, Gena Taylor couldn't be happier with her prospective new guest. Kirsten Sinclair, Boston's top news anchor, is considering having her wedding reception AND honeymoon at The Riverside Inn. That would be great publicity and more money for Gena. With college in her daughter Mia's near future, she'll need this booking. When Kirsten pulls up to the front door, Gena is ready for everything. Everything but Kirsten's fiance, Travis Ryan. Of all people, Kirsten is marrying Gena's ex-husband!
Though it would hurt her financially, the reception can't take place at her inn. There are too many issues surrounding Gena and Travis. Gena's not a scared young teenager anymore, she is a mature woman and a mother with a 15 year old daughter to protect from any and all hurt.
Time heals all wounds. Is fifteen years long enough? Maybe, but in the case of Gena Taylor and Travis Ryan, they need more time. Or do they?
Forever Again captured me from the first chapter and held me to the last. I love Gena's character, especially her maturity and grace under pressure. Travis is a hero that inspired mixed emotions. There were times I felt like he was a jerk. Other times I wanted to bash in his head. Yet, he still remained sympathetic as his intentions were good.
Forever Again had some sexual tension that warred with the bitter tension between Gena and Travis, leaving me strung tight as a bowstring. This story had me in its grip to the point where I had to stop reading and come back to it so that I could be objective and diplomatic; I took this story so personally. In my opinion Shannon Stacey knocked it out of the park with Forever Again! When a story sucks me in so deeply that I get involved as though it were happening to me, the author has done their job in writing an excellent story.
Get Forever Again today. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll yell, and at the end you'll be satisfied!
