The Wraith is another one of those 80's films that I stumbled across when I was growing up. I was impressed after seeing it and the fact that it's really a dark hero picture and it's the precursor to The Crow (Skank is a character in both films, true fact). I'm glad I ordered it as soon as I found out. At least it's in widescreen finally with some interesting extras to go with it. For those of you out there who dig 80's pictures like I do, don't rent but buy The Wraith. Great action scenes, good acting, good steamy moments (Sherliyn Fenn is unbelievably hot and still is today). Definitely a great movie to add to your collection and thank you Lionsgate for making a great special edition DVD of this long-lost nostalgic classic.

I have missed out on getting this movie many times on vhs and then on dvd the first time and now i can get it again

This is a very fun movie. Its about a ghost that stalks a group of car-racing thugs one by one. Plenty of fast cars and hot babes abound. Stars Charile Sheen and the always game Clint Howard. The first time The Wraith was released it came as a bare bones disk. This edition has all new special features including audio commentary, interviews with writer/director Mike Marvin and Clint Howard along with a featurette on the Dodge M4S that was used in the film.

When The Crow was released back in 1994 a lot of people found it original and well presented. But the fact is that this movie from 1986 is it's source. Sorry for The Crow's author James La Barr, but is the truth. The Wraith had an obvious very small budget but is really nice, the acting is good and the characters cool, the punk who sniffs WD40 is still one of my favorite 80's movie characters. There are a lot of people here who later became famous, I could be mistaken but I believe this is Charlie Sheen's first movie. And the girl Sherilyn Fenn was hot like hell, she look far better than the famous Megan Fox today. This is a really cool 80's flick, do not pass it up.
