After seeing Wall-E a million times with my kids, I fell in love with the two Hello Dolly songs that are heavily featured in the movie. I bought the Hello Dolly movie soundtrack thinking I might like other songs as well. I was wrong.
The audio quality is good and Streisand's voice is as nice as ever, but I really dont care for most of the songs on the CD.

I absolutely love Barbra Streisand's voice, and I think that it is best presented in her classic musicals like "Hello, Dolly!" and "Funny Girl". In this soundtrack, you get to hear those big, clear notes that she can hit. I love to listen to every song (but one, "It Takes a Woman") on this soundtrack. Each song is either catchy and fun or exhibits Streisand's superb vocal skills to a T. It might be interesting to some that Michael Crawford--the original Phantom in Phantom of the Opera (alongside Sarah Brightman--sings several songs (either alone with others). And one of his songs, "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" is featured in the recent Pixar film, "Wall-E". His younger, less matured voice in this soundtrack is at moments a little screechy, but still very enjoyable to listen to.
If you like classic musicals, Broadway, Barbra Streisand, or Michael Crawford, you will most likely enjoy this fun soundtrack.

What is going on here? This page is for the movie soundtrack, not the Broadway version with Mary Martin (even though I love Mary Martin). The songs to download for purchase on this page are NOT sung by Barbra Streisand or Michael Crawford. Are the individual songs from the soundtrack a available for purchase and download? If so, why aren't they on THIS page?

It would be nice to be able to find a listing of the songs other than "Hello Dolly" which are in the ablum. :(

I am buying this cd for my 6 year old son. He heard this soundtrack in the movie WALL-E and immediately fell in love with it. I had heard the soundtrack many times and have seen the movie but did not realize that Michael Crawford was in it. Can't wait to receive the cd. Patty R CT
