Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: While director Jeannot Szwarc's 1980 time-travel romance nearly drowned in a sea of its own bathos, the score of the Christopher Reeve/Jane Seymour vehicle has become something of a word-of-mouth classic. Chalk that status up to the great English composer John Barry, whose lushly romantic score has largely overshadowed the film it was written for. Note to Titanic fans: if you liked the score for that film, you may fall in love with (or to) this one as well. Ironically, much of the action of Somewhere in Time takes place in 1912, the year the Titanic sank. --Jerry McCulley

Rating: - Somewhere In Time Is Simply Wonderful
Both the DVD Movie and the Soundtrack are excellent in every way and I highly recommend everyone to see and hear these wonderful works.
Rating: - Somewhere in Time
We usually travel to Mackinaw Island once a year and stay at the Grand Hotel where this movie was filmed. There are no cars allowed, just horse and buggies and bicycles, so it really feels like a trip back in time. The movie and music, esp. the music, makes the whole experience perfect. It is a beautiful love story between two beautiful people...unrequited love!....could it be more perfect?
Rating: - Somewhere in Time
This is a truly lovely soundtrack with many variations on the central theme.Knowing the story of the film is perhaps helpful. Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini is powerful stuff. The final track with Roger Williams playing the theme from Somewhere in Time reminds us what a wonderful musician he is.
Rating: - SOMEWHERE IN TIME SOUNDTRACK
SOMEWHERE IN TIME. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL ALBUM. A PERSON THAT APPRECIATES MUSIC THAT IS SO SENSUAL AND YET SOOTHING TO THE MIND. THIS IS TRULY ONE OF A KIND TYPE OF MUSIC THAT CAN BE SHARED WITH FRIENDS AND OR FAMILY MEMBERS. MY MOTHER LOVED THIS ALBUM SO MUCH I HAD TO ORDER HER THE SAME ALBUM. IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THE MOVIE;THAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL MOVIE AND IS A CLASSIC IN IT'S OWN RIGHT. ABSOLUTELY LOVE BOTH OF THEM.

One of the best soundtracks to come out of Hollywood in a long time. Just great pieces of easy listening music.
