Rating: - love it!
Bruce Willis singing is so much fun - his natural conveyance of his love of life is probably the best part of this CD - and Cybil Shephard, her voice is soooo very lovely - love how she does Blue Moon! - I own the LP, too - this CD is one of my very favorites! So, glad to have this again in my everyday world!
Rating: - Good.....but could have been so much better!
Although this has the songs most will look for: Al Jarreau's great theme song, Cybill Shepherd's big band numbers, Bruce Willis' great cover of "Good Lovin'", "This Old Heart of Mine" by the Isley Brothers, etc; it's what's missing that makes this soundtrack incomplete. The following should have been on, and anyone who can download an mp3 can get creative, and complete this set for their library:
Tighten Up: Archie Bell & the Drells
Respect: Aretha Franklin
I Was Made To Love Her: Stevie Wonder
La Bamba: Richie Valens
Chain Gang: Sam Cooke
Psychedelic Shack: The Temptations
Devil With a Blue Dress: Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels
Be My Baby: The Ronettes
If You Really Love Me: Stevie Wonder
Big Man On Mulberry Street: Billy Joel
Just My Imagination: The Temptations
Is This What I Get For Loving You: The Ronettes
Maybe they couldn't get all the rights to the above to include them all, but what was released just left fans of the show wanting more.
Rating: - Very impressed
I have to say that this seller is very good at his business and I am also impressed by the time it took to recieve my products in the mail.
Rating: - Solid Soundtrack
The soundtrack to the television series Moonlighting is worth purchasing for Al Jarreau's superb title theme alone. It is one of Mr. Jarreau's finest performances and one of the most elegant theme songs in music history. The soundtrack also contains some Motown songs that were included on several episodes as well as two standards sung by Cybil Shepherd that were included on episode that included a dream sequence back to the 40's and Bruce Willis' version of "Good Lovin'" that probably unfortunately led to his own full length album, The Return of Bruno.
Rating: - Moolighting soundtrack is the best
This is an absolutely fantastic CD. After buying the Moonlighting DVDs, I had to have the soundtrack. You get to enjoy songs by great singers like Billie Holiday and The Isley Brothers. You also get to listen to Bruce Willis' version of "Good Lovin'" and Cybill Shepherd's versions of "Bluemoon" and "I Told Ya I Love Ya, Now Get Out". If you're a fan of the show, you'll be a fan of this CD.
