Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: 'Highly emotional, excitable, and driven' is how the official Felicity Web site describes the TV drama's title character. If only that side of the precocious teenager were more often reflected on this soundtrack album. Stultifying slow, midtempo balladry with often painful lyrical imagery is the rule here; too rarely do classic Aretha Franklin and Peter Gabriel tracks (and more recent ones by Neil Finn and Ivy) relieve the overwhelmingly 'sensitive' atmosphere fostered by Heather Nova, Joan Jones, and series costar Amy Jo Johnson. --Rickey Wright

Rating: - Love this one!
Love this CD! Although I'm disappointed at the exclusion of a few songs I think should've definitely been included, this CD still reflects & reminds me of the 1st season. Even if you weren't a Felicity fan the songs are intellectual, emotional & easy listening. Highly recommend.
Rating: - A Perfect Soundtrack to a Beautiful TV Show
Felicity was my favourite tv show during high school. It was so easy to relate to the emotions the characters felt, even if some of the things they went through were a little unrealistic or at times too much for a teenager to understand.
This soundtrack is the most beautiful compliation of music I have experienced. The soundtrack definately captures the feel of the show. It is full of little gems that stay with you for days.
I am glad I purchased it. Now I will definatly have to track down the other three.
Get it if you can. Enjoy it! Reminis about one of the best shows ever on TV (when it was not all reality rubbish and celebrity tedium).
Thanks.
Rating: - One of my favorite soundtrack of all time.
Very good selection. All the songs were actually heard on the TV airing of the show's first season (note for Lisa, the songs on the CD are the real songs from the show, not the one from the DVD version which are just crappy replacement songs).Anyway the CD is very great and each song has it own atmosphere which is very rare on a TV soundtrack.Almost one hour of pop/folk songs with a romantic feel on each, the perfect soundtrack for this very good show.
Rating: - Very disappointed
I consider myself an avid fan of this show, as I have watched the reruns over and over again, as well as purchased most of the series on DVD. One of my favorite pieces of Felicity was the selection of music that was played during the episodes. When I saw that there was a compilation of songs from the shows, I was looking forward to hearing them. However, many of the songs from the shows were not included on the CD, and I was disappointed with so many of the songs that were on the CD. I will always love that show, regardless of the disppointing CD - there's nothing like it around anymore - I am grateful that I experienced such a wonderful program.
Rating: - theme song?
I actually dont have this CD but im sure it is wonderful, especially from the sample clips I have listened to. I was wondering if someone could email me and let me know what the song title and artist name was of the Felicity theme song from season 1. Thanks so much! (maura - Mfair@goucher.edu)
