Quick--name a fabulous party game starting with the letter S! Super Scattergories from Hasbro Interactive turns your computer into a wise-cracking game-show host that will have even the designated drivers screaming at the tops of their lungs.
Based on the familiar pencil-and-paper game, the object of the game remains to find members of particular categories; each answer must start with the same letter. The computer version adds some complexity--there's now five different games, including picture identification, category matching, and simple word listing.
The answer interface simplifies the game a bit and speeds it up greatly--only the first three letters of a correct answer are required. Without worrying about misspellings or long guesses, the pace picks up dramatically. The look, sound, and feel of Super Scattergories is reminiscent of You Don't Know Jack, and play is just as fun solo or with teams of any size.
While some of the animations might be poky if you have other programs running or a slower machine, the game clock seems to work fine even under the worst of conditions. If you want something new to distract your guests or just want to work on those language skills, Super Scattergories is just the thing. --Rob Lightner

This game is so much fun but you do have to reload it sometimes. Still worth having. My husband and IO try to see who is the best on head to head mode.

This game is honestly very fun, and now I am unfortunately selling it due to upgrading my computer to one that operates on Windows Vista....I cannot get the game to work anymore! Bummer!

I had purchased this game some time ago and love it. It cost me about [...] at the time, because the game had been discontinued by Hasbro. I have also experienced it locking up near the end of the game. It was frustrating at first, but if you recognize that it will do it and just start a new game, it relieves your stress/anxiety level. It was the game playing that I preferred and needed. I suffereed a brain injury followed by a stroke, and playing games is said to be good for rewiring one's brain. Well, that saying is true and I believe this game helped a lot in overcoming my cognitive deficits. I still love it, despite it being about 4 years ago that I bought it.

This was a great game, but why is it over 50 bucks used? Is this a collector's item or something?

This game is a lot of fun, but I am having problems with the last round of the game. It just does not respond. I have only had the game for 1 month. This is the third time buying the game and every single CD that I have bought has been defective.
