The Prodyne cheese slicer is the best cheese slicer I have ever found. I've had one for years and needed a second one for our vacation home. I had trouble finding one and finally bought a different brand. It never worked right and the wire broke after about a year. When I went to replace it I found the Prodyne online and was excited to buy one that finally works.

Cheese crumbs get stuck in the opening and sometimes difficult to get out. Works well, but not for very hard cheeses - for these I prefer 8 or 10 in chef knife

This is the third Prodyne Cheese slicer I have had in my 35 years of marriage. It is very reliable and effective at making even slices of softer cheeses like Monterrey jack and harder cheeses like Swiss. I especially like that you can order from the Prodyne company replacement wires and handle if needed, It is a great value for the money and looks great also.

It can't get much easier than this! I set the table with with bars of various cheeses and a basket of crackers. My guests do their own cutting and choose the cheese they prefer. They love this board and several have purchased it.

Not a bad product for the money. It slices soft cheeses very easily. Hard cheeses take a little more pressure but I haven't had any problems not being able to slice hard cheeses. If the wire cutter isn't lined up with the recess in the wood, adjusting the handle in or out fixes the problem quickly. I expected the board to be larger than it was (but then again, how big does it really need to be?) For the money, you can't beat it.
