All kitchens need a funnel, and this big one does more than simply transfer liquids from one container to another without creating a mess. Inside there's a detachable strainer so solids can be filtered from liquids. Use it to strain out those burned bits from cooking oil so it can be reused, for example, or use when making beer, herb-infused vinegars, or garlic oil for cooking. great stainless funnel good to use with hot oil and other hot liquids that may/may not need strained

Recommend for fryer oil. Does a solid job of straining out the food particles so you can reuse the oil again. Haven't tried it with other liquids but I'm sure it would be fine. Overall good job at a fair price.

I got it on impulse. Once it was here, I realized I could have just used the funnel I already had!

This was a very simple and practical way to return my cooking oil to its container for future use.

This funnel worked perfectly. I deep fried a turkey for the first time (it was delicious) and was not thrilled at the thought of discarding 3 quarts of oil (costly and wasteful). After allowing the oil to cool, I poured it through the funnel into a large container to freeze and re-use at my leisure. The strainer did so well at removing all the leftover bits of fried food that the used oil was almost the same clear color as an unopened bottle.
