The magazine has a good amount of system and game related info and has a lot to offer on the included disc, which includes plenty of trailers, demos, and some downloadable content.
To give an example of one of the articles, my most recent issue had information (and lots of pictures) about the different versions of Xbox360 systems (Xenon, Falcon, Jasper etc..) and it explained how you could tell them apart before buying one. However, for the disc, if you have access to Xbox Live you really don't even need it because most of the demos and trailers are already available on Xbox Live before the magazine is printed. Occasionally they will throw in extras that are only available on the disc like free Rock Band songs, free Oblivion downloads, or in one case a free beta invitation to Final Fantasy XI. If you are only getting this for the discs, please keep this in mind.

What's not to like ,bought this for my kid half price on Amazon after making other game purchases.For a little over a dollar a month you can see info on upcoming product and maybe save a little by making a more informed buy on your next game,plus so far it's had some kind of demo disc with it each month ,these are worth the price alone!

Kidding, but this is a well written, formatted and edited magazine. I really enjoy the in-depth reviews (even if I don't always agree). But it is in the exclusives and previews where OXM shines!
I know you can get more, up-to-date info online and perhaps more content. But there is both more credibility in printed documents and I find better in-depth analysis. Dependant on the site, you never know what your are really getting online and often I find the articles drab and un-informative (save for a few stellar sites I won't name here).
I got this for like $12 for the whole year after I bought a game on Amazon. I single issue on the news stand goes for $10. I usually buy 3-5 OXM per year...so I already saved money :)

I bought this as a gift for my adult brother, you know the kind of gift you'd love to get but never buy yourself. Well he absolutely loved it. He raved about the Demo CD and went on and on about all the cool features. He talked about how you get points just for watching the demos that can be traded for items. He loved the magazine for tips and articles. I ordered it for Christmas which means it wouldn't arrive until Feburary, but surprisingly he has already received his first issue (in January). Amazon had a neat feature that you can print out the "subcription to come" gift card (or email is option). I chose the print out because I wanted something under his tree. Doing it through email seemed like I thought of it last minute. But really this was the perfect gift for XBox 360 gamers and he has already said he would like his next christmas gift to be another subscription.
