Product Description: This shaker is perfect for martinis, margaritas, etc. The polished stainless steel gives this piece a sleek look.
Amazon.com Review: The 28-ounce Metrokane Bullet cocktail shaker won't necessarily make people better bartenders, but it certainly helps them look the part. The art-deco-style Bullet is made of polished 18/8 stainless steel, with smooth lines and a gleaming surface that give any kitchen or den an air of sleek sophistication (think 007). Cocktail shakers work by reducing the alcohol's temperature in crushed ice without diluting the taste of the beverage. Bartenders merely pour their martinis, margaritas, or Manhattans out of the integral strainer and voila--an attractive, flavorful beverage that looks almost as good as the Bullet itself. The drip-free spout ensures a minimum of spilling, and the entire unit--which comes packaged in a clear gift box--is dishwasher-safe. --Rivers Janssen

Just got this the other day and only used it once so far. In the looks department it's great. Very elegant. In the mix your first drink department it works like a charm and is easier to use, less messy, and has better capacity than my old Boston-style shaker. But in the ergonomics department, it leaves something to be desired. After my first shaken cocktail, I wanted to pull the top off to rinse it out before the lime pulp dried on the strainer. I could not reoopen it. Tried everything, including a dish towel and silicon mat to get traction, but no, it wouldn't open. I ran hot water over it three successive times to "shrink" the metal to loosen the cover. Finally, on the third try, it came open. If I'm only mixing one drink at a time for myself and not expecting to have a second fine. But if I have a party going and want to mix for a crowd, this would definitely be a problem. I will try the hot water trick the next time I use it, but to have to do that is quite an annoyance.

I own several cocktail shakers, including a beautiful designer shaker. There is another stainless steel model with "dimples" in it that fits the hand very nicely and is smaller. If you are making one or two cocktails, 18 oz is the way to go.
This cocktail shaker has a great design (the bullet is just a "cover"),is well made and has a 24 oz capacity, which will make 4 martinis in one pass with plenty of room for the crushed ice. I recommend wrapping it or any other cocktail shaker in a bar towel to keep your hand from either getting too cold OR from keeping the shaken cocktail from reaching its minimum temperature.
Cheers.

This is a great-sized shaker that can make multiple drinks at once (even multiple doubles). Requires very little ice to make liquids cold quickly. Hasn't had any leaks or anything. Very pleased.

I bought this for a friend who *loves* it! Its sleek styling and excellent functionality combine to make the perfect martini shaker.

This is a great cocktail shaker. Good party size. It's clean lines just scream martini. Thanks to a poor job of packing, however, the "bullet" top (which is mere decoration and not necessary for operation) arrived with a small dent. I assume this is the fault of Target and not Amazon. Having read the woes of others who purchased this same shaker, I'll live with it. I'll shake up an Espresso-tini and make up a more interesting story about the dent. Cheers!
