Rating: - And then there was Bubbles..
Genius! Truly!
I have known every one of these characters in some capacity growing up.
I can't figure out why this show is not huge here in the States. Season one gets off a little shaky, but when they find their footing it is rock solid. Really, really funny. I would have to say probably one of the funniest shows made period.
Rating: - A review on whether or not to buy this product!!
By now you should have already gotten the picutre that the Trailer Park Boys are a force to be reckoned with. If not, then what the hell have you been watching?!
Their complete seasons are gona run you $25+ if you buy them legit and not used. I highly suggest buying these things NEW to help support our trailer park heroes so they can keep making seasons.
BUT, if your going to buy them used anyways (off ebay / amazon) then DON'T. And heres why. You can watch every episode, including the movie, on YouTube for free. (Until they take them down, if they havnt already). They don't get any profit buying used anyways. So, support these guys, buy em new!!!
Rating: - A mockumentary whose time was long overdue
I haven't been this happy to watch a comedy series, or anything for that matter, in I don't know how long!
Ricky, one half of the main character force, is powerfully ignorant; forcefully ignorant. Everything he causes to go wrong becomes somebody else's fault through his warped rationalization. He's uselessly wise about his own stupidity. It's a thing of beauty to behold! He's constantly setting up people with Knock Knock jokes that don't actually follow the Knock Knock rhythm just so he can tell people to f*** off. Each time he does this, I laugh harder than the last time! Rob Wells plays this character to the hilt and is the true comedic genius driving this entire show, in my opinion.
Julian is the straight man/tough guy/brains of the outfit. He comes off as seeming more intelligent but it's only because he has more poise. He's almost as stupid as Ricky. It does not matter what is going on, to include action scenes, Julian is NEVER without his rum and Coke, ice tinkling in the glass. It kills me!
Something is clearly dysfunctional about Bubbles in a fundemental fashion, and yet he is the most intelligent citizen in the park. He passionately curses non-stop in a way as natural to him as taking the next breath. His blisteringly foul language often pops up in the most benign of situations causing the funny quotient to leap upwards.
There's a guy who never wears a shirt, wears too tight white pants, has a huge belly, and there's no explanation given, ... Read More
Rating: - Funniest TV Show Ever... Hands down...
This series is "The Office" humor in a trailer park coupled with hilarious Canadian stereotypes. Rob Wells aka Ricky plays my all time favorite character in any comedy, his skewed view of the world is by far the funniest roles I have ever seen.
Rating: - Funniest Canadian Import Since SCTV
I don't know why more Americans aren't aware of this show. I love it! and so does everyone I've showed it to. High-larity!!
You'll love Ricky, Julian and Bubbles and all their crazy, weed-fueled antics.
