Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
Wearing Holstein-patterned chaps and mixing kangaroo references with Mariachi music, the Wiggles take on a Western theme in this eccentric hybrid of Australian and American cowboy life. The central plot revolves around the town fair's Country Cook-Off and the Wiggles' favorite chef Alfonso's "disaster pasta," a crushing culinary failure due to a missing ingredient. Greg, Anthony, Murray, and Jeff set off to find the all-important component aided by Foodman, Superhero of Sustenance. Along the way there is plenty of opportunity for singing ("We're cowboys, we eat fresh fruit when we can."). The highlight is the Spanish language "Cielito Lindo" sung--and danced--by a traditional Mariachi band. Despite a distinct lack of horses and cows, children ages 2 to 8 will enjoy the hour-long ride. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not one of their best
We own 11 of The Wiggles DVDs. This is my least favorite of the lot. Too much dialogue for our 2 year old. The songs are just OK, not great. Older children may like this, especially if they are into cowboys.

Taught my grandson how to begin to dance. He loves to "Boot Scoot All Day" These are great for kids!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Absolutely Brilliant!
The greatest effort from The Wiggles to date. Fantastic songs, hilarious story and a special appearance from "Food Man".

We love it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very Entertaining for CHILDREN
I just had to write a review after reading some of the others here. First of all, this is a movie geared toward very small children, not adults. The Wiggles get better and better all the time, and it shows in this movie. Sure, it's a little different and not exactly like the Wiggles TV show. But if you want to watch the show, tape 6 hours of them on a video tape. This is supposed to be a movie. My 16 month loves the Wiggles, and he loves this one just as much as his other Wiggles movies.

The Wiggles look very nice in their western inspired outfits, but they stay true to their colors. The plot is simple, and silly enough for kids to enjoy. Lots of new catchy songs, colorful characters, and funny action to enjoy.

It is not your typical western movie, but the title "Cold Spaghetti Western" should give you a hint that it's not. What did one reviewer pretending to be "Siskel or Ebert" expect? A shoot out at the OK Corral? This movie was never meant to fully entertain an adult. Adults and teens need to lighten up and stop putting down kids shows. Very small children don't analyze everything that goes on in a movie like this or try to find something wrong with it. They take it at face value. Something that adults could learn from their toddlers.

I think that the Wiggles are very talented children entertainers. They are pure, simple, and timeless. I am glad they don't rap, or that they don't try to do alot of vocal gymnastics. I am glad they don't try to modernize everything and follow the latest fads. In my opinion, The Wiggles is one of the only wholesome kid's shows that is out there.

So if your child loves the Wiggles, and your main concern is what your child likes, and not what you like, both of you will definately love this movie. So sit down and enjoy this movie with your child, and try to remember that you didn't buy it for yourself, and what you think about it doesn't matter. This is an excellent children's movie, but if you are one of those people who put down and analyze all kid's shows you will probably find something wrong with it anyway. In that case, I guess you will have to buy some earplugs and your child will unfortunately have to enjoy it without you.

Poor script with a few good songs - slow pace with to much narration for my 19 month old. Try Top of the Tots, Wiggly Gremlins, and Yummy Yummy - he loves them.
