Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: Bernard Slade's smart, funny, and touching play about an adulterous couple who meet one weekend a year for 26 years is nicely adapted for the screen by Robert Mulligan (To Kill a Mockingbird) in this 1978 film. The two-person story stars Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn, both of whom are outstanding at conveying a rainbow of emotions over a quarter-century as life gives and takes away, and the world convulses with change. Mulligan brings taste and honesty to the film, and Alda and Burstyn give full, living performances. --Tom Keogh

Rating: - Such a Fun Movie
I watch this as a teenager and now as an older adult I still enjoy it. This movie has such a fun, sad story.
Rating: - same time next year
this is simply the best movie of all time. I had to order another copy since I had worn out my original from watching it to often.
Rating: - Great Movie
We went to Mendocino for our honeymoon and everyone told us to watch this movie. While a movie about cheating on your spouse doesn't seem like a great idea and there really wasn't that much of the town shown in the movie it was still a really good movie.
Rating: - SAME TIME NEXT YEAR
An excellent motion picture that shows not only that it's possible to love more than one person at a time, but also how people grow and change their values and perspectives over time. Buy it. You'll like it.
