I got this after my old hub crashed, I just need something to plug my camera USB, my external hard drive and my ipod, AND my wireless mouse. everything works just great except the wireless mouse for some reason, but since my computer itself has two USB ports on the front of it I am just able to plug the wireless mouse USB in there.
Great product for the price.

Plugged right into the usb port and fired up. Mine came with red indicators not blue. They are quite bright. Readily able to see which devices are operating. Operation has been flawless. Great item for the price

Works great - no USB functionality issues whatsoever, and the lights are nice to have.
Depending on your needs, you may or may not like the tradeoffs attendant to such a small hub. The worst of them is simply the light weight, the problem being keeping it in one place. My wife uses hers to provide a single connection point to her MacBook, meaning it stays on the desk. In order to keep it in place, she jams the upstream cord between the desk and the wall. The alternative is to stick it down in some fashion - or live with it moving around and popping off the occasional cord.
If you need a very small, light hub, say to keep in your laptop bag, the Targus Ultra Mini is ideal. If you have the desktop real estate available, you might consider a larger hub.

I got this hub back in August 2007 and it works great! I have 3 Hard Drives (a 500 GB HD, a 1 TB HD, and a 1.5 TB HD) all plugged into this hub and they all work perfectly! The only other product that might be better than this one is Targus's squid USB Hub. Just remember that all bus powered USB hubs only have power up to 500mA. Therefore, if you get USB powered HD that requires more than that 500mA then it isn't going to work on the hub. Sokeep that in mind when getting a new HD.
