PL63BL Woofer The 6.5-inch woofers feature an eye-catching blue poly injection cone for plenty of stiffness without added weight. The 1-inch ASV voice coil is ready for high-temperature, high-wattage situations. The butyl rubber surround will withstand harsh vehicle environments--sunlight, extreme temperatures, moisture and so on--to give the speaker an extended lifetime. PL63BL Midrange/Tweeter A one-inch neodymium film dome midrange and 3/4-inch Piezo tweeter complete the package, and help provide smooth, detailed sound. PL63BL Specs

Rating: - Plye PL63BL speakersI bought the Pyle speakers to put into a center channel speaker enclosure for my 5.1 Dolby sound system. I did not use them in an automobile system. My amplifier is rated for 8 ohm loads, so I put the speakers in series inside the enclosure. The mounting instructions were clear and the hookup wire and mounting hardware were adequate. I painted the enclosure black and used the grills on the outside so it looks good, even though its hidden in the back of the entertainment center. They sound great and have cleared up the muddled sound from the previous enclosure I was using. I haven't turned up the volume yet, but I am sure they will work very well at higher sound levels. Rating: - great replacement speakersvery good range for inexpensive pair of speakers. Surprised at base response. Definitely would recommend. Rating: - Cheap, but if you like bass, think twiceNo one will argue that these speakers are cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are actually quite good on the highs and mid-range and if that's all you need (ie. if you have a seperate sub-woofer or don't listen to music with much bass) then you can't beat the value. But trust me, if you listen to music with any significant amount of bass these speakers will start to distort at mid-volume level and just sound bad any louder than that. I checked the tech specs. and found the frequency response only goes down to about 90Hz vs other higher-end speakers which generally go down to 30-50Hz. Rating: - should've bought betterI wish I would've bought something better, these are OK but the old ones were better. So I paid to downgrade. |
