The Prozone Air Purifier is not an air filter. It is a powerful air purifier capable of eliminating pollutants and odors in the air. It is important that you have a basic understanding of how the Prozone Air Purifier operates so that you will know how to use the Prozone Air Purifier to obtain the best results and so that you will know what to expect. The Prozone Air Purifier takes common oxygen, O2, and raises it to the level of ozone, O3. Ozone is created in the Prozone Air Purifier in a manner similar to the way it is produced in nature. The Prozone Air Purifier produces ozone through a patented process using two forms of ultraviolet light. After the ozone is formed, its natural tendency is to convert oxygen. Therefore, ozone starts dispersing throughout the room. Pollutants that float in the air are positively charged. When ozone contacts the pollutants, it oxidizes the pollutants and breaks them into harmless carbon dioxide and negatively charged ash which drops to the floor. Once the ash drops to the floor, it will not go back into the air again. It lies harmless on the floor until it is swept up or vacuumed through regular cleaning. The Prozone Air Purifier does a superb job of eliminating even very strong odors.
