Editorial Review:

Description:
The Flintstones band wagon was rolling full logs ahead by its third year. They always had a solid fan base but now critics, who had surprisingly shortchanged the 'cartoon show' two years prior, were won over. Many episodes pariodied current culture: The Twitch spoofed the Twist craze, Hawaiian Escapade poked fun at the TV series Hawaiian Eye and Dial 'S' for Suspicion gloriously tweaked the plot of the movie Dial M for Murder into comic farace. The most famous of the 28 classic episodes in this Deluxe 4-Disc Set with Fabulous Extras is the nationally anticipated birth of Pebbles in Dress Rehearsal. If the Flintstones had DVD, they'd watch this blissful collection of 'home movies' over and over. You certainly will.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Flintstones all Volumes
I received all the DVD's as requested on time and in good shape. I grew up watching the Flintstones and loved them as did this time around.

Way to go Amazon.

Waiting for the other seasons of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea to come out.

Thanks and keep up the good work

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I Dig Fred Flinstone!
I may have said once that I'm not a TV person. Okay, so I do watch Monk with my production manager's ex-wife and I do remember the Flinstones is one show I did watch when I was a kid, growing up in Mexico. My grandmother used to let me watch it on Saturday mornings, while she was cooking brunch. I had a whole half hour before she had to listen to her radionovelas. It brings back memories. My ex-former production manager Blane over at the trophy shop loves this show and left a bunch of DVDs in his living room for me and his kids to watch. It really is too bad that I had to go back and work at the trophy shop, after having resigned a few months ago. Blane used to drive me crazy, and he's at it again. the other night at dinner, his ex-wife told me that we ought to invite him over for ice cream with the kids and a couple of rounds of Flinstones, Season Three.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - "Twitch" is the word!
If there truly IS a "Rock and Roll Heaven," Fred Flintstone and that particular episode's "Rock Roll" characters' places are assured therein, just simply because of that immortal lyric: "...Well, we'll twitch around the clock tonight in Bedrock - TWITCH...TWITCH..."

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The Flintstones - The Complete Third Season
This Flintstones set has 28 episodes on four discs, the last disc having two sides. The third season is classic; it's the season where we finally get the best known opening where the Flintstones theme song is vocalized & has Fred sliding down the dinosaur when the quitting horn is blown. This starts with the third episode. his is the season where we get the birth of Pebbles, a highly anticipated event back then. This event occurred in episode 23. Aren't we silly that we would,ve done such a thing over a cartoon event? Many current fads of the day were spoofed including The Twist (a popular dance in those days for those that might be too young to remember) & the tv series Hawaiian Eye. The movie Dial M for Murder was also spoofed. Fred is still on occasions attempting his get rich quick schemes, Barney is still there to help him. e get a larger dose of Fred's mother-in-law & we even get a Gestapo type nurse in one episode. We even get a cameo appearance from Yogi Bear & Boo-Boo in one episode.

There aren't as many bonus features in this set, unlike the first two season sets. This has a mini-documentary on Flintstones collectibles & one on The First Families of the Stone Age. It's a very enjoyable set & highly recommended as family entertainment

Yabba-dabba-doo!
