Editorial Review:
Description: Rejoin the detectives of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit in all 21 gripping episodes from the powerful second season, available for the first time on DVD! Mariska Hargitay returns as the unit's veteran Detective Olivia Benson: the role that earned her a Best Actress Golden Globe. Joining her are Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler, Richard Belzer as Detective John Munch, captivating newcomers Ice-T and B.D. Wong, and television's hottest guest stars, such as Eric Roberts, Margot Kidder, and Chad Lowe. Law and Order: Special Victims Unit - The Second Year is packed with a roster of cases ripped from today's headlines and includes fascinating bonus features such as cast interactions with real detectives, character profiles and never-before-seen deleted scenes. Law and Order: SVU, the recipient of seven Emmy Award nominations in just four years, is the captivating phenomenon that critics call 'indestructible.'

Rating: - These are their stories
After making a name for itself during the First Year, SVU seems to find it's stride the Second Year. Hargitay, Meloni and the rest of the SVU squad deliver their usual stellar performances, but the addition of dedicated ADA Alexandra Cabot, played to perfection by Stephanie March truly adds the right amount of spice. One of my favorite episode's is Closure Part 2. Tracey Pollan hits it out of the park in her revised role as a fed up rape vicitm from Season 1.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - The Second Year
Second year of the series maintains integrity established during first season. Actors well cast, cinematography excellent, plots believable. Very good and worth watching.
Rating: - The show begins to peak.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - The Second Year really took off when it came to plotlines and casting. I love this show, I continue to watch this and I'm still shocked by all the stuff this show gets away with. My favorite episodes from season 2 include: Closure Pt. 2, Baby Killer, Abuse, Folly, and Scourge. I highly recommend purchasing season two, definitely one of the best seasons (season 4 is my fave). Enjoy watching these intriguing episodes!
Rating: - I'm on a mission...
...to own all of the Law & Order seasons on DVD. SVU, CI, AND the original. I think you should buy them too. They're great!
Rating: - They "say" it's new......
I like the TV show but it's the people who sell it you can't trust. I didn't want to get a used dvd because you never no what the actual condition is. They say "like new" and it's beat all to pieces. So I decided to order one that was suposedly "new" from Amazon. Needless to say the fraze "new" was a lie. It was obviously scratched and I couldn't even see the end of one show to find out what happened. It couldn't have been new because it didn't come in its original shink wrap. It had been resealed at Amazon. You would have thought that a company like Amazon would have been true to it's word when they say it is new. I was disappointed by the product but who wants to go through the hassle of returning it 3-4 times? That's were they screw you and know they will get away with it.
