Rating: - I will not buy an incomplete star trek
Who's to blame ? the US trekkies, the show was cancelled due to low rating. Their paradigmas you know..., people resists changes.
What to do ?, there is more trekkies around the world...
Why is Star Trek so important ? because inspire the human kind to improve themselves. Wacth the Discovery Channel video "How William Shatner Changed the World"
Rating: - For the love of Scott Bakula
I caught some episodes of Season 1 and decided I wanted to see more of Capt Jonathon Archer and the first Enterprise. It was also cool to have a lesser-known Rod Stewart song be the series theme song. (Which by the way was also in Patch Adams.)
So while I don't regret getting the 4 season set, I did not find the entire series compelling. Good enough, but nothing ground breaking besides the "retro-continuity" fixing why klingons don't have bumpy foreheads in the TOS, etc.
I also liked the Brent Spiner guest-star episodes (big fan of Spiner).
I thought the Temporal Cold War was a bad idea, and the Xindi War was an unnecessary diversion.
Rating: - Star Trek Superb
I was skeptical at first. I didn't give this series a chance when it was on TV. however i got the entire DVD series and was blown away. i wish it would have continued. superb acting and storylines detrimented only by their early cancellation. what a loss. buy this now,you will enjoy it (even my wife who is not a scifi addict loved this series)
Rating: - Good Pick
The five reasons to get this set for Trek fans
1. Great cast. Scott Bakula, John Billingsley, Dominick Keating, Anthony Montgomery, Linda Park, Jolene Blalock and Connor Trineer
2. The Xindi saga in third season
3. The show looks fantasic
4. Season 4 had guest stars such as Johnathan Frakes and Brent Spiner
5. Classic allstar episodes such as In mirror darkly, Northstar, Dear Doctor, etc...
Rating: - not as pictured
While the series itself is fine, the item I received from the vendor was not the one pictured but a much cheaper version with all 4 seasons in one box that was manufacturer in Asia. The menu on the DVDs did not work properly. The breif discriptions on the episode were missing as was the art work, etc. Unless you are willing to accept these failings I would strong recommend that you make sure that the vendor you are dealing with is selling the official USA release.
However the vendor agree to a return of the item and refunded my money.
