I am now using Prozones number 5&6 in my home. The others have lasted from one year to just shy of 2 years running non-stop.
Believe me, with 4 little doggies running in and out of the house, the Prozone gets its workout. I am asthmatic, and before Prozone I was miserable with my little dogs. Not so anymore. We all enjoy each other.
When these have given their best, I'll purchase 2 more. I've considered buying about 4 and just keeping them on hand in case they stop manufacturing them...

The unit works terrific as soon as you have it tplugged in. You can smell the fresh air or cleaner air. The problem I have is the inability to get a new bulb to replace the one that is on to clean the air after it fails. When that buld goes out, you have to throw the whole unit away. We have become a throw away society and that is a shame. My only relunctance to recommend this product (I have three of them operating now)is that for the price, it seems rediculous for it to last a year (maybe) and then throw it away rather than simply have a way to easily replace the bulb. It seems like that is a planned stategy but it still works terrific as long as the bulb is on. I would suggest a way of returning the unit for a crediy towards the next one and at least there is reuse for the manufacturer and a wya to save some money on the next one. I use two of them on the boat (51' ft. Bluewater) and there is no boat smell anymore. Before tha the clothes and everything smelled like the boat and other people would notice it. I did not except when I would just arrive but now I never smell it and people say how fresh it is inside when they visit.

I thought this unit was great, it removed smells and made the room smell great. The first one we had only lasted about 6 months, they did send a replacement which has lasted two years until last night when it started on FIRE flames shot out of the top and melted the whole unit, the smell is awful in the house and the house is filled with black soot THIS UNIT IS VERY UNSAFE TO DO THIS DAMAGE TO A HOUSE. THANK GOD FOR ADT OR OUR HOUSE WOULD HAVE BEEN DESTROYED.

We purchased the Prozone P6Z 5 -6 years ago to eliminate pet odors in our home. It did a terrific job and most of the time forgot it was even there because there is virtually no noise and it is small in size. The tube which as a guaranteed life of 20,000 hours or about 2.28 years (24/7) lasted 5 years running continuous. I did not know when it stopped until the pet odors came back so I checked the unit and found it has stopped working.
I sent it to the manufacturer and it was repaired for $50.00. In the meanwhile I purchased a second one. This product has run 24/7 for 5 years. We purchased it for about $125.00 back then which means it cost of about $25.00 per year plus a very small amount of electricity. I would recommend it to anyone.

It works fairly well at removing unpleasant odors, even in larger areas. In small rooms, you will want to use it only as needed. The ozone smell can become significant. The low quality part, it is made in China, which has it's own smell. If you run it fairly constantly, the bulb lasts about a year (no option to replace it). The fan is low quality, somewhat noisy, but loud at times. Sometimes it emits a burning smell, which is definitely not pleasant.
So we only run it, when needed, for short periods of time, like an hour or two.
