Editorial Review:
Product Description: The Sonido is the elegant-looking AM/FM radio with Weather Band. It has most of the fine features you've come to appreciate with our CCRadios, including excellent AM and FM reception. The NOAA Weather Band is an all-hazards band, so if anything unexpected happens in your area, you'll be among the first to know and the most informed. Coincidentally, the Sonido uses state-of-the-art circuitry to squeeze 250 hours of runtime out of a fresh set of four "D" size alkaline batteries (not included). Other features include: stereo headphone jack, MP3 player input, 5-memory presets per band, and dual programmable alarm clock with sleep timer. AC Adapter included. Two year warranty. C. Crane Company exclusive.

I bouht this radio mainly for AM reception. I am very satisfied.
I have a Grundig YPB2000 and a Grundig S350 - the Sonido blows
them away.

I was looking for a travel radio that could double as a speaker for my iPod. The PR-D5 and SongBook were too big, and the PR-D5 has no AUX-in. I waited for the rumored PR-D8 and D9 until my vacation was upon me and I ordered this at the last minute. It's about the size of a hardcover book, and is heavy with with four D batteries. However, it's sturdy and stable and pulls in stations very well. Also, the single speaker sounds great and can reasonably rock on the go. The weather stations are good when you need them altho the TV band is, at this point, pretty useless.
So sweet, I can't believe I waited, and I idon't think I'll be bummed when the new models do finally come out. I'm thinking about using this one as a clock radio - it's got all the features and looks pretty sharp.

This radio is used in the bathroom, and it does just what I wanted it for. An improvement would allow for a change in tone, more or less base. If it had that, I would give five stars.

The Sonido Radio has excellent reception of A.M. stations,F.m. and weather are also of high quality. The set is relatively small ,so it fits in places other radios of similar quality would not.The inputs for earphones and other external devices(eg.mp3) is handy.I was aware that the TV stations would no longer be available, but this was no loss. The weather alert feature is awesome!

I think that this is a excellent Weather Alert radio because it serves it purpose and is easy to operate. My last Weather Alert radio was just to complicated, even in just using the clock radio features. It was a Reecom and even gave child alerts but programming was a major job. This one gives you just local weather alerts and that is what is needed in an emergency. The AM receiver is very good because it is the first radio that I get numerous stations at my location. I live in a low area about 200 feet below hills on both sides of my house. It does very well. The FM band is excellent. The quality of the sound is between very good and great. The clock radio function is excellent. The only downside is no handle and what I feel is less than satisfactory instructions. Otherwise, if you need a NOAA Weather Alert Radio this is an excellent choice.
