Product Description: A young gay professional faces ups and downs while looking for love. Genre: Feature Film-Comedy Rating: R Release Date: 10-OCT-2006 Media Type: DVD
Amazon.com: Based on Eric Ormer's comic strip, The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green is an almost fluffy romantic comedy starring Ethan (Daniel Letterle), a gay man whose trials and tribulations amount to not much more than difficulties in dating and finding a rented apartment. Leo (David Monahan), Ethan's ex-boyfriend, is selling the house Ethan currently resides in, while Ethan enters a whirlwind romance with baseball fetishist, Kyle (Diego Serrano). While Ethan debates where to live, he dumps Kyle and starts dating Punch (Dean Shelton), a cute, young real estate agent who hatches a plan to sabotage Leo's intentions to sell the property. The finest moments of this situational comedy occur when the Hat Sisters (Joel Brooks and Richard Riehle), a pair of cross-dressing, older lovers, are on screen cracking jokes and looking like Erma Bombeck. Meanwhile, Ethan's mom (Meredith Baxter) advises him to seek courage in order to find the right man, as Ethan tires of the dating game. Director George Bamber's adaptation is entertaining, though the entertainment feels as if its at the expense of some characters who are the most stereotypically gay. Because of the film's employment of stereotypes, it's difficult to sympathize with Ethan's plight. Clearly not meant to challenge intellectually, Ethan Green does contain some endearing scenes that make it mostly fun to watch. --Trinie Dalton

Rating: - Great Comedy
I thought the movie was very funny and lighthearted. It kept your attention and interest right to the last. I enjoyed it thoroughly and had to have it for my library. One of the better Gay movies you want to keep. I thought the cast was great. They all were cast correctly and made the characters their own. Great job.
Rating: - Things Not to Do
Love this film. Why is it we all live by crazy standards when it comes to love? Wouldn't we just screw up our lives and the people wanting to be involved in it? Ethan definitely knew all to well. Hot cast and funny. A good film to watch with friends or by yourself. Take a few pointers on what not to do.
Rating: - Horribly good
I rented this movie because I thought Daniel Letterle was attractive in Camp... It turns out that he is also the only reason I liked this movie, and not because of his acting.
The plot would have been wonderful, if there were better actors and realistic sex scenes... I guess Daniel's cute-ness will have to make up for it.
