I purchased this radio for use in one location, the shower. We purchased the radio on January 2008, and the first set of batteries are finally wearing out, over a year and a half later (it takes two D-cell batteries).
I gave the radio five stars as it has great reception, good sound quality, it is easy to use, well designed, and is very high quality.
The only issue I have had with the radio is the grille. I had to move the radio to the far wall of the shower, as the grille would fill with water, and then I would have to blow or wipe the water out to hear the radio again. I bought some more double-sided tape and moved it, and have not had any problems since. Granted, the first location was poorly chosen, I put it righ underneath the shower head, but I do believe the grille could be designed a little better to shed water.
That criticism aside, this is an excellent radio. The double-sided tape holds it securely to the tile wall in the shower. The FM radio comes in very well, even with the antenna/handle in the stowed position. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a great radio to wake up to in the morning.

This radio has one of the best sounds I have ever heard in a portable radio. I would recommend it highly, especially for larger bathrooms or just larger rooms because the sound is very sufficient and no tinny sounds.

This is a very sturdy and well-made shower radio. Having the LED display is great along with the pre-set station buttons. I would definitely recommend this radio.
