I have owned this radio for a month and half now and I have nothing but praise for it!
Pros -->
1. The sound quality is so clear and sharp. The best thing for me is that it captures and holds every station which I select. I mention this because every other shower radio that I've owned in the past 30+ years has failed to do this. I must add that those other shower radios were in the $15.00 - $40.00 price range so I don't have an "expensive" shower radio to compare with. I haven't had a need to utilize the FM wire antenna where it was a must with all of the other shower radios I've owned.
2. The Form Factor is the final attribute that had me selecting this radio over the Sony ICFS79W AM/FM/Weather Band Digital Tuner Shower Radio. With the Sangean, I can hang it over the pipe that the shower head is attached to (with the supplied strap). There are other ways to hang this unit up - a bracket plus other items come with it. The controls are on the FACE of the unit whereas the Sony has them on the top. I'm not that tall so being able to easily access ALL of the controls on the face was exactly what I needed. Much more convenient.
3. The display which can show Volume Level (which gets pretty loud), Radio Station Call Numbers and/or the Time etc. is of a reasonably size. The other shower radios seem to have a smaller display and the Sangean is also backlit when pressing various buttons. ALL buttons are responsive and react IMMEDIATELY to your touch.
4. For some reason when researching this radio, I was not aware that it is Waterproof (not just water resistant). Apparently, it's so waterproof that it is supposed to Float! I have not confirmed this feature (and probably won't). ;O)
5. It also comes with a built-in flashlight. I may never use this but others who take this radio on their boat or camping etc. may find it useful. If nothing else, it will be an emergency backup flashlight that I can use (at least I'll always know where it's at!). Also has an emergency buzzer (siren??) but I haven't tested that out.
6. It's too early to comment on battery life but if the other reviews are accurate then it will be another year before I have to replace them... (there is a built-in battery power indicator so you can keep an eye on it).
7. Setup was a breeze. Quick and easy.
--> Bottom line - Well Made, Great Sound! I'm really happy that I spent the extra money - as the saying goes "you get what you pay for." To me, this is the best shower radio out there. Don't hesitate to purchase this shower radio... you won't be sorry!

The only other feature that I would have liked to have would be RDS (Radio Data Services: Artist & Song Title info) readout on the display. Maybe the next version will have it.....

The Sangean H201 AM/FM Digital Shower Radio, is very nicely design product. The radio functions extremely well, with good sound and great reception. The added built in features, turn this simple product into a "no-brainer." The cost, was the one hurdle for me, but having seen so many poor reviews for cheaper products, I decided to give the Sangean a shot.
The Pros:
-Good sound (not booming stereo quality, but plenty good for a shower)
-Great reception
-Fantastic Battery life (have yet to see the built in battery status drop a single bit)
-Plenty of hanging/mounting options (should suit just about any application)
-Built in flashlight (not a huge deal, but a nice added touch)
-Solid construction (I submerged it, it floats, it didn't skip a beat)
The cons:
The only con I have found thus far, is that it only allows for 5 pre-sets per band. So I can only have 5 FM pre-sets, which is fine but I would be happier with 10.
All in all, this is just a fantastic product, a bit pricey but I have no doubt that it is built to last.
If you are looking for a shower radio or just a water-proof radio for boating or poolside, you cannot go wrong with the Sangean H201 AM/FM Digital Shower Radio.

I'm very happy with the Sangean. It has very good sound (for a waterproof portable radio), the feature list is extensive, and the battery life is excellent. It picks up all the stations in my area with no problems no matter where I am in the house. Highly recommended.

If you want a quality radio for your shower (or other wet/humid locations) this is the only one worth looking at. I've learned that Sangean consistently makes the best radios on the market and this is no exception (this is my 5th Sangean).
This replaced a ~$25 Jwin shower radio/cd player/mirror and in terms of AM/FM reception and ease of use there is no comparison (we live ~30 miles from the closest metro market). I primarily listen to NPR talk radio but the pre-sets allows for other members of the family to have an option. The large illuminated clock make it a great addition to a bathroom and the built in hook for the shower rod is brilliant.
Quip: Not sure why the radio needs 2 D batteries when similar performing radios manage to with 2-4 AA batteries.

I love this radio. It has terrific clear reception without the included antenna. I have already purchased a second one and I'm thinking about a third. Just when you thought nothing worked anymore!!
