Editorial Review:
Product Description: The 1970s children's show ARK II reflected that decade's ecological concerns with the sci-fi adventures of three human scientists--leader Jonah (Terry Lester) medic Ruth (Jean Marie Hon) and tech genius Samuel (Jose Flores)--who along with their talking chimpanzee Adam travelled in their high-tech vehicle to right the wrongs of the environmentally ravaged 25th century. This collection presents the fun conscientious and charmingly dated series in its entirety for a total of 15 episodes.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS Rating: NR UPC: 787364725090

Rating: - Traveling On the Ark
This was one of my favorite Saturday morning shows, back when there was some effort in putting togther a good story without beating you over the head with the moral. I think it still holds up pretty well.
Rating: - What a trip down memory lane!
I first found out about Ark II being released on DVD while looking for Shazam! I remembered little about it other than the ark itself and the jet pack that Terry Lester used (I was about 7 or 8 when the show was on). I ordered it and wow, did the memories come flooding back! All of the Filmation live-action series seemed to have a moral thread running through them which could seem kind of corny by today's standards, but they are still highly entertaining. If you were a kid in the mid 70's, Ark II will definitely help you relive your childhood. A must-have!

Awesome! This takes me back to when I was a kid!!! Thanks.

This is what Saturday morning shows should be. Subtly teaching kids morals is a good thing (yes, as an adult they are very obvious). Saturday morning shows now, just sell kids product. If you grew up watching these I recommend the purchase for your library. The rocket pack is still cool. Excellent bonus features and quality. I highly recommend.
