Bought this last yr at walmart. Worked fine the last season, but this season it is leaking and I am looking for a new one. It was quite and worked well the time it did (last winter). the white powder people talk abt is most probably because of the water one uses....if water is hard because of Calcium salts you will see this white powdery stuff. This is not an issue with any particular ultrasonic humidifier, so people who complain that a particular humidifier produces a white mist, must try another brand and confirm for themselves...its not the humidifier, it is the water.

I've used and bought humidifiers for decades. This unit is the best one yet.
It is capable of cranking out massive amounts of mist. The water tank can hold enough
water for several nights. If you don't like the blue light (which I do) coming from it,
just put a piece or black electrical tape over part or all of the tank view strip.
You can adjust the amount of night-light effect you want this way. I use a light-timer
to turn it on and off each night. I also turn it off totally for a few hours in the
middle of the night with the timer, as I only want a slight increase in humidity.
It is a winner... really designed elegantly.

Excellent product but needs attenion. Must keep deposits removed or does not work. Must empty after each use!!! Very, very Quiet.

worked well first couple of weeks,then would release adequate steam for app.20 min.and then diminish.tried to clean filter,good for a couple of hours then returned to same problem.I did like the quietness of the machine,also requires little care.
