Was very hard to install, had to call Garmin. But, once installed, it worked well.

This company delivered the product very quickly and well packaged. Can't really tell you how the product actually works though as I am just learning to use my GPS. I bought the Europe NT for use in Ireland and Netherlands in 2010!

The installation instructions for this software a joke, what is existing does not help much. I searched user groups and product reviews to get some hints, and still did not get it right the first time. Even if you get a hunch on how to proceed with installation, nothing in the process appears to be logical or intuitive. You are left at several points with the question "what do they really mean? - what do I need to do know?". For example, you have to know that you should install the software on a memory card, otherwise you would overwrite your US software in the memory of your Garmin. Before you finally install, you have to select every single area you want to have installed by selecting them on the (tiny) overview map of Europe one after another. They have cut Europe into a lot of separate areas, some pretty big, a lot of others are very small (but these are very often the critical metropolitan areas and easy to miss). I went throught this process several times after overlooking some tiny areas like Berlin or Paris. You cannot simply go back and correct your mistake, you have to start all over again. How likely is it that you will miss some little areas again? I did.
Once I arrived in Europe it took a considerable amount of time for the Garmin to find the sattelites. After that the system worked fine. Unfortunately, my return flight was out of Munich. My Garmin did not find Munich, the city, nor Munich, the airport (the second largest airport in Germany). I obviously had overlooked this tiny spot on the tiny selection map and had not included it for installation.
Again, once the sortware is installed, the system is working fine. Getting there is a nightmare; even Microsoft is nowadays doing a better job in software interface development than Garmin. My advice, only buy it if you absolutely need it (my rental car had a built-in navigation system; though France was not installed, so my Garmin came in handy); if you absolutely need it, give yourself enough time before departure to try installation again, and again, and again (and still miss some tiny but very critical areas).

I just spend a fast 7 days doing the following trek with family: Geneva - Lausanne (via lake front) - Zurich - Heidelberg Germany - Brussels (via Luxembourg) - Brugge - Amsterdam - Frankfurt - Geneva. That's about a 1000 km covered and not ONCE was I confused on the streets. Even "old town" or downtown areas in major cities like Cologne we had no issue... this bad boy once it found the signal knew exactly how to route us out... plus picked up traffic (FM) on my nuvi 655!!
Well worth the money.. if you plan on driving around Europe.
The bad part: Is the install software.. first of all, I had to make room on my GPS to fit North America + Europe. I got rid of all the non-English voices and few of the car icons. The hardest part is figuring our how to drag and select the whole Europe map to include every country you want to transfer over... I did this on a mac, while the interface is clumsy, it worked.

Loading Maps on a Nuvi 360 and misc tricks.....
The software install itself was not too bad with my version, CN Europe NT 2010.10. I updated this software on the Garmin site with the unit plugged into the computer as well. BUT, the adding maps feature was dinosaur age, IMHO.
Here is yet another install guide with a few tricks:
If you want all of Europe, plug card reader with a 2 GB SD card into the computer. You need the external card to accommodate all of the Europe maps, as the internal memory does not have the space. Launch Mapsource.
With the Europe map set to least magnification (1000 miles), select the map select icon, and then click just inside the map square. This will allow you to select all of Europe in one swoop. Move the cursor around and you will see all the regions light up. No more selecting and adding one by one ! Mapsource told me that there were 264 maps total.
Next, choose "Transfer" then, "send to device". Walk away for a half hour or so and it should be mostly loaded depending on your computer............... You choose the SD card removable drive when prompted to store all the maps.......
To double check that the data has been transferred, check the contents of the SD card under "my computer". You should see a gmapsupp.img file that is 1.6 GB or so. Then put your SD card into your Nuvi, and reboot it. To double check that the new maps are being read off the SD card, go to: tools>map>map info. You should see CN Europe in there.......................Then check to see if you can navigate to some country........
If you do not want all of Europe, then plug your Nuvi into the computer and select the countries you want one by one or using the technique above. Hopefully, there will be enough internal memory to accommodate your selections. If not, delete the new gmapsupp.img file that represents the partial list of maps, so the unit does not get confused when you plug in the maps loaded on the SD card. Then buy a 2 GB memory card and do the aforementioned install.
To free up some space for maps in the internal memory, you plug your Nuvi into the computer and open up the Nuvi icon. In there you can find folders with jpeg images that you can delete and voices in languages that you can delete. I personally replaced the Garmin images with my own images. To review the images you loaded, this feature can be selected under tools>display>splash screen. It will give you a choice of images from SD card or from internal memory.......you can show people pictures of your family or whatever, or you can make your boot screen a selected picture.............
I hope this helps fellow Nuvi owners!
