This battery is nice when recording long day of activities and play back. I would recommend this battery it is big but the benefits far out weighs the negative response for this battery.

The battery is twice as long as the original, and sticks out the back in a big way. It even double the weight of the camera! But here's the rub: even with the extra weight, the whole camera is still amazingly light! And since it uses the large LCD window for viewing, and has no viewfinder, the extra length is in consequential. My only minor issue was that it now take two hands for me to switch between video and still mode since I can't wrap my paw around the longer battery.
Bottom line: very nice to have the substantially longer recording time, and the extra size is of no significant consequence.

works great, easy to use, dont hesitate to get one. I have yet to actually use the battery until drained, but it charges fine and lasts a long time. careful with those knock-off batteries dont spend money on garbage.

Holy crap this thing runs a long time! It extends the length of the camera only about an inch and a half. Only a small sacrifice to enjoy an excellent product!

It lasts many times longer than the battery that came with my camcorder, but dang, the thing is huge. With it on, my camcorder doesn't fit in my standard case anymore. So I still use the original battery and decided to have this one as the "out all day shooting video" battery. Plus, when you finally do run out of juice, you better plan on charging that thing overnight. It last tons longer than the standard battery, but also takes tons more time to charge.
Either way, you should get one. Pretty cheap for an authentic JVC battery too.
