I've bought these headphones twice because their so good for the price, but you definitely get what you pay for with them because my first pair just randomly stopped working.

Out of a few hundred options, I ended up selecting these JVC headphones based on the name and other reviews.
The audio quality from them is excellent, although don't expect any audio isolation from them. I still have no problem hearing environmental background noise when listening to music.
The headphones themselves broke after a few weeks from stress on the cable connection to the headphone. There appears to be no way to get inside the earcup to inspect/repair the connection without damaging the headphone.
Probably a good idea to spend a few extra dollars for a more solidly built headset.

Listening to blues right now, good sound, very clean, bass is tight and not exaggerated, vocals are good. Might be missing a bit at the high end.
They sound pretty good coming out of my guitar amp.
Noise isolation is very good, and they are light and comfortable.
Really a very good set of phones for under $20.

Headphones are large, good sounds, very tight on your ears, and cord very long, other then that very good.

Bought this after reading reviews claiming this is "the best" headphone. Also bought Sennheiser eH150 ($30) and Sony MDR-XD200 ($22.39). My comparison:
* Sennheiser eH150 has the best sound quality!
* Sennheiser eH150 is too tight. You can probably bend it to make it loose, but don't last long
* Sony MDR-XD200 sounds somewhat better that JVC
* JVC looks kind of cheap. But you can't beat the price ($17 including shipping) for what you get...
