A classic 1967 Disney animated film that's loosely based on Rudyard Kipling's book of the same name, Jungle Book tells the story of a young boy Mowgli who was raised by animals in the jungle. When tiger Shere Khan threatens to return to their part of the jungle, the other animals decide that Mowgli must return to the man village in order to ensure his safety. Panther Bagheera has difficulty convincing Mowgli to follow him to the man village and recruits the help of a big lovable bear Baloo. Mowgli's journey is one of wit, song, and many surprises. My kid loves it and watches over and over. I don't like all the singing but that is just personal preference. The slip case was damaged but not worth returning since the DVD was protected in the plastic clamshell case.

Rating: - STILL GREAT FAMILY FUN AFTER 40 YEARS
I saw this movie in the theater 11 times; more than any other movie. In 1967 this movie totally captivated me. I even fell in love with the little Indian girl at the end of the film. And after purchasing this DVD, I'm still crazy about it 40 years later. Some of the catchiest tunes ever, and way ahead-of-its-time animation. Everyone in the family will love this Kipling and Disney classic.
