Rating:  - A Movie Full of Inspirational Lessons
I have to admit that I was a little cautious about watching this movie because of some of the people who were suggesting that it would make such a powerful impact on my life. At the time many of the same people were keying in on the movie The Secret and I kept being told this was one of those movies that would "enlighten and change me." I am always cautious of such statements.
When I finally watched the Peaceful Warrior, I was blown away by both the simplicity and complexity of the messages that were interlaced throughout the storyline. I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the lessons that the movie teaches and equally surprised by how much the movie made me think afterward.
I would highly recommend this movie for anyone that needs a little inspiration in their life or finds themselves at one of life's crossroads. Socrates proves to be a great teacher and an inspiring character that will hopefully make a similar impact on you as he did me.

I bought this DVD based on amazon's recommendations and watched it after 2 weeks.
I cannot put this video down. The dialogue is short and simple, yet the messages are simple and simply profound. Yes, we are at peace if only we can win the battle within ourselves.
I bought the book after watching the dvd and find that the book has up to 50% more material.
My friends that watched is is also full of praise, thanks Dan Millman and the director....

This movie is quite enjoyable and entertaining, while remaining basically faithful to the book. It cannot, of course, have all that's in the book, and some events are combined to a single event, but it certainly captures the spirit of the thing. Nolte's performance is standout.

I caught part of this movie on tv and couldn't wait to see the entire movie.
Yes, it is based on an actual person and his struggle while in college to make the gymnastics team. However, I wish they had been true to the actual story and set film in the 1960s. Still it is a good movie for inspiration and discussion.

I found this movie to have a simple, yet profound message, done in a most entertaining way. It's a film to be watched several times. On first watch, it may seem like a predictable story but the messages become more thought-provoking the second and third time around. That's why it's in my library.
