This dvd is pure blasphemy and I love it! Doug rips into religion, corporate America and the lameness of today's youth. There were some slow moments, however, due to his beer drinking and cigarette smoking, but a majority of this delightful look at the darker side of human nature was laugh out loud funny.

this guy is so funny and so witty, he's a genius. so smart, what he says really gets you thinking. i recommend this dvd, he says it like it is, if you are one to get offended, then its not for you, but its hilarious!!

I love a good stand-up act. Doug Stanhope is an "in your face" brutally honest kind of comedian. His act is not for the easily offended or prudes. If you liked the late Sam Kinison and the late Bill Hicks you'll probably like Doug Stanhope. This set is very funny and has lots of replay value. I would have liked to see more extras on this DVD, but the stand-up in great and the DVD transfer looks crisp and sounds excellent.

Effing hilarity ensues whenever I pop the Doug Stanhope Digital Video Disc into my Digital Video Disc Player. Hilarity I say.
Rating:  - no refunds vs. deabeat hero
I think "deadbeat hero" is a much better DVD. The set-up for "no refunds" just seemed off. The mirror background behind the stage was distracting and the stage seemed too bright. Stand-up comedy works best with some darkness. That's why I think the black and white works so well in "deadbeat hero." Stanhope's material didn't really have any continuity to it and it's not his strongest stuff in the way of punchlines.
