Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Economical but far from perfect
Trying to make a long story short - could no longer get the Sumatra pods for my Senseo in local stores and didn't want to spend a fortune in shipping to order on web so decided to make my own with home ground beans. First tried ecopad - flop. Hugely messy to empty and an awful cup of coffee no matter what the technique. This was my next experiment.

Well, not as messy as ecopad because you obviously just toss them when wet. However, I could not get enough coffee in there for an 8oz mug even using strong/finely ground. They can get pretty tricky trying to keep the flap closed even with just enough coffee for a 4oz (so you need two pods to make an 8oz -similar to Senseo premanufactured).

I wish I could find a cheap heat sealer - the other reviewer doesn't mention pricing - most are like INDUSTRIAL units. Anyway, got a perfect pod maker on an online auction site and the perfect pods and am very much happy.

Still, if anyone knows there is a reasonable residential kind of heat sealer to use on these I would like to know. The perfect pod apparently is having some company growing pains or something and my not be around much longer. I have to give up soon and get a Keurig and do the kcup thing probably.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it for my coffee pod machine
I use these filters to make my own coffee pods. The only thing that I do differently is I "heat seal" them with my heat sealer. Then I don't have to fiddle with the little flap and it goes a lot faster. You can buy a heat sealer on line. Just do a "Yahoo" search. I make hundreds of pods ahead of time and keep them in an airtight container. The heat sealer works great. I hope Melitta keeps making these filters. They work great with the Melitta one/one coffee pod machine.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Fill your own coffee pods/filters for Senseo coffee maker
These coffee filters for the Senseo coffee makers are o.k. When I figured out how much coffee I was using + the cost of these filters (can't find them anywhere but on line) + shipping, it came out to equal what the Senseo coffee pods are going for in the grocery store (currently $4.19 a package of 18 pods). Savings is pennies if anything at all. They are tricky to handly and can split or spill easily. They recommend making a few ahead - I wouldn't because the flap that holds the coffee in the filter isn't a very good seal. Positives - you can choose the coffee you fill them with.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Will definately buy again
These filterpads are perfect for anyone who wants the convienance of pods with the flavor of their favorite coffee. Its not a matter of math, for me Senseo is terrible and with these I am still saving alot over getting a cup from starbucks or Dunkies. These pads will hold 4tsp (actual tsp not a metal spoon) maximum as indicated, I easilly fill mine with 3tsp. The first batch or two were experimental but after getting the hang of it I can easily make 10 in <5 minutes for the week. To me you cant beat a cup of coffee that is cheeper than buying, no grinds to deal with, taste great.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Does the job
Good inexpensive way to use your own coffee to make pods. It takes a little practice to be able to the fill the pods as full as they need to be and close the pod well. In my experience the pod needs to be as full as possible. Would buy again but think these will last a long time as I just use them when we have left over coffee from gatherings when I use my regular coffee maker. Otherwise it is just so much more convenient to use premade pods.
