- Exactly what I was hoping for
This is our second Sangean radio. The first one is several years old, still working very well and the reception is excellent. So, when I needed to get a bedside radio / alarm clock, I was pleased to see that Sangean had what I was looking for. The reception is great and it's easy to set up favorite stations and switch between them. The led display is easy to see without being too bright. The sound quality is very good. I am happy with all of the radio's functions and highly recommend it.

The owner's manual is not detailed sufficiently and when the alarm comes on, the back light is very bright. You can figure out the way to program it but more instructions would be very helpful. With those exceptions, the product is excellent. I like the way you can program the alarm for the work week and have a different alarm (if you want) for the weekend. You do not have to turn the alarm on or off everyday or every weekend, it takes care of it for you.

- Atomic clock did not work
The clock is supposed to connect to the Atomic clock in Colorado so it always has the correct time. This feature just did not work. The manual provides instructions to set the clock manually if the automatic time feature does not work, but I just returned it. I don't know why the automatic time feature did not work for me or how often this occurs. However, the manual was not helpful and contained no troubleshooting tips.

- Lite Bright
I bought this for my 75 year old mother and she said the light from the display lit up her room and she could not fall asleep. There is no way to dim this light. I read reviews before I purchashed this radio that also complained about the light and I should have listened. This radio was returned.
