Rating: - dvd
the dvd is excellent, love to be able to watch it in closecaptioned cause we are deaf so we are glad to understand the show and are happy with it
Rating: - You'll love them!
We watch the episodes over and over. The Addams family are so much fun! Great for neighborhood kids on rainy days!
Rating: - Good comedy
I have all 3 of the Addams Family. They always crack me up because they are so totally wild. Good comedy. Wish we had this good comedy today.
Rating: - Such a fantastic show
have been a huge Addams fan since I was a little kid. I remember loving the Charles Addams books my grandmother had. (I was an odd child raised by some odd people)
This show is just so fantastically fun. I love that instead of portraying the Addams' as the weirdos, it pokes fun at how weird "normal" people are. And of course, I think Morticia and Gomez may have the best marriage ever portrayed on TV.
Get all three volumes.
Rating: - Great show but one terrible transfer.
This is the final release of one of the most original and certainly different shows of the 1960s.
My reviews on the previous releases pretty much sum up my feelings about the show so I won't linger on that aspect.
But what I must say and what is immediately apparent from viewing the set is how disappointed I am in the transfer of some of the episodes in this release onto DVD.They are poor to say the VERY least, not of a higher standard one would expect from such a company as Universal. They look like watching a poor copy of a VHS tape or something you would see from a lower budget small independent company release.Absolutely terrible and unforgivable.
Universal has charged a small arm and a leg for each of these releases and now,to boot, has released them in one complete package at a more competitive rate.I wouldn't begrudge them their sneaky marketing strategy if I was getting at least decent high quality transfers on each of these releases for the amount of coin I've been doling out.But such is FAR from the case and another typical SNAFU from one of the big boys to all of us unsuspecting and naive consumers. How dare we think we should be treated fairly?
Once again I tried to contact Universal consumer affairs for an answer and like the majority of my other inquiries before to them and others it is and will remain unanswered.
In conclusion I highly recommend the show to all but I cannot in good conscience recommend the sloppy and terrible transfer work done here for it ... Read More
