My HDTV has VGA connection. Figured I could use these to connect items to my TV, since it basically only has HDMI, and only (1) component and no S-Video. These didn't work at all!!! In any way. What a freakn waist of money.

I bought this cable since I sometimes DJ and VJ at sites that don't have TV's with HDMI or VGA inputs so my solution was to use this cable to send my signal to composite input.

it works great!
before you buy check with the manufacturer of your video card it it supports TV out.
Note: works with ATI Rage 128 Pro 16MB (VGA/ADC) (AGP) for G4 Cube

I bought the item to send video image from an older laptop with only a VGA output into a large LCD TV with an S-Video input. The signal won't go this direction, I assume that it only works the other direction, but I have no need for that. Basically, I bought a part that I don't need, and it didn't specify that it must be only one directional. I haven't wasted my time asking for a refund on a 3 dollar part though. I will warn others though, that if they are planning on doing what I did, it won't work.

Received it and when plugged in the screen just keeps scrolling. It needs a vertical hold. I guess they count on the fact that it's so cheap that it will cost you more to return it than it's worth.
