Once you get over the initial weirdness of forcing fluid up your nostril, it can really be a life saver. Once I feel like I might be developing a sore throat or sinus irritation, I use the nasaline and it helps incredibly. During sick times, I generally use it 2 or so times per day. It compares very favorably with the traditional netti pot, since it does not require unnatural tilting of the head; it creates a more powerful stream since it is not limited to gravity power; outflow water will not flow onto clothing since the users head can easily lean over the sink.
