Very mediocre performance...high price for a piece of plastic that is no better than just letting the wine breathe on its own!

You can make a $7 bottle of wine taste like a $30 one with this little gadget. It really does improve the quality substantially, and you can have an indulgent wine experience without paying the indulgent price! And, with a good bottle of wine, the results are even more fantastic :) I highly recommend that any wine lover buy one... we got ours as a gift, and we pull it out every time we drink wine. It's easy to use, clean, and--most importantly for our small kitchen--store.

I'm usually not one to appreciate paying more than $20/bottle for wine at the store. My taste buds just can't really tell a significant difference between a $15 bottle and a $150 bottle. However, I decided to do a test after I purchased this product: a Kendall Jackson 2004 "Stature" for $100 up against a Windmill Estates 2006 "Lodi" for $15 (both Cabernet Sauvignon). I tried them both straight out of the bottle and was impressed that I could appreciate the Kendall much more. I used the Vinturi with the Windmill and was just as impressed with this wine after running it through this device. So, for a wine unenthusiast this might be the best way to buy cheap and taste expensive!

We've had so much fun using this aerator. It really works! Wine that is a little immature becomes full bodied. We've even done side-by-side taste tests. The wine opens up so much more and tastes wonderful. Its easier to use than a decanter since you can pour one glass at a time. We've boughten more as gifts for friends and family.

I think this is a great idea, but I really don't feel the wine as aerated as much as normal decanting would do in a few hours. Therefore, I think this is good if you need a quick fix, but stick with the decanter if you have the time. Cheers!
