Editorial Review:

Description:
The Cosby Show appeared on NBC from 1984 to 1992, becoming one of the most popular programs in the history of television. The Cosby Show depicted a close-knit and prosperous African-American family (The Huxtables) that dwelled in New York City. Dr. Heathcliff (OB-GYN) and Clair (attorney) Huxtable were a happily married, dual-profession couple with aspirations of raising their 5 children in an uplifting, positive environment. The Cosby Show held TV's #1 slot for a record 5 consecutive years (1985 to 1990) and stayed in the Top 20 shows for all eight seasons it was on NBC.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Fun!
I love the Cosby Show and this is one of my favorite seasons! One of my favorite episodes is when Cliff dreams that he and the men are pregnant...it cracks me up! You will love this season with the addition of Olivia...she is a great actress at that age. Enjoy!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Shift in the Huxtable Tide
Denise Huxtable is now Denise Kendall, Rudy gives the youngest-child role to her stepniece, Olivia Kendall (and realizes how good she had it in her own room), Vanessa is entering her rebelious phase, and Theo struggles with newly-diagnosed dyslexia and the misadventures of being an NYU sophomore living away from home. These combined elements make this, the sixth season of The Cosby Show just as pivotal as its predecessor.

Here, we're introduced to child actress and future recording artist Raven-Symone as the deliciously cute and vivacious Olivia, as well as the emergence of Joseph C. Phillips as Lt. Martin Kendall, after a previous guest appearance as one of Sondra Huxtable-Tibbadeaux' dates. Other reviewers may have their opinions about why the Kendalls were brought into the cast. The way I see it, it wasn't my show. Besides, Martin and Olivia did bring to the show and were crucial to keeping it up to the minute as the series entered the 90's.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Never out of date
I am a huge Cosby Show-fan, and of course had to have this one as well.

I get nostalgic every time I watch it. I was a teenager when it aired in Norway.
But even though it's been almost 20 years since they made the show, it still has good family values, and they tacle toppics that can occure in every family today as well.

I won't stop until I have all the seasons (and A different World as well...)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Cosby Season I Remember Well
As with many here I watched this show fairly regularly.I say that because I stopped watching it EVERY week around the 4'th season because of the demands of school and life (I don't think I watched any of the 5'th season during it's original run). But this was the season when I came back to it a lot more. I had my reasons. For one I championed the return of Lisa Bonnet-I realize there were pros and cons to that to some fans of the Huxtable clan but it was glad to have the entire original cast back together again. And in fact Denise Huxtable had learned a bit about responsibility when she became the step mom of Olivia and began to see the world from a mother's point of view. I have my favorite episodes from this season-the episode featuring B.B.King and the one where Vanessa plays the Alphabet Drinking Game. Of course I also have my own opinion on the Cosby Show today. As innovative as it was and as much as Cosby and Falicia Rashad intended the elder Huxtables to be functional family people,at this point in my life I find myself siding with the kids more and more. For one,Clair and Cliff Huxtable started making it clear that the main reason that they wanted the kids out of the house was to get more time together.Today,to be honest such utter selfishness on the part of parents would be almost impossible;even in the best off of families the kind of upwardly mobile "school/work/success" life the Huxtables seemed to aspire to would be almost impossible today. In fact many children are returning home ...
