Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It's the real Sightmark
This is a Sightmark product, not a fake. Mounted on a .45 pistol slide, which means this sight takes a pounding. Nothing broken after 300 rounds. Fun to use the different reticle settings. Very easy to change battery. Heck this also includes a lens cover. If it breaks, buy another one. For the money who cares compared to the 3 or 400 dollar sights out there this sight does the exact same thing. Sightmark also has a mini sight...half the size of this one but only a red dot.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Works fine, not the same as BSA
I originally purchased the BSA PMRS sight (red) and then upgraded it to a BSA PMRGS sight (red and green) for use on my AK47. I liked them both and they were clearly high quality products so I wanted to get a few more sights for my other guns, but I didn't want to spend the $80 or so for each of the spare sights considering that the other guns would only be used occasionally.

I found this Sightmark product listed in a catalog for about half the price of the BSA sight and it looked identical in every detail, so I assumed that maybe Sightmark was another trade name used by BSA and that it might be the exact same thing without the name brand. When the Sightmark product arrived I was immediately discouraged by the packaging which was clearly a much cheaper plastic hanging card with MADE IN CHINA stamped prominently on the front vs. the BSA which came in an attractive color cardboard box which was well padded with styrofoam. The BSA is also made in China but this is not blatantly marked or displayed on the package.

Upon handling the Sightmark unit it felt different too. It had a somewhat looser and rattle-like feel to it where the BSA felt smooth and solid. There were other small differences too: The index marks for the selector knobs on the Sightmark are actually small holes crudely drilled in the aluminum vs. the BSA which has the index marks neatly printed on the surface. The patterns are listed in a different order on the reticle selector. The Sightmark has 7 levels of intensity vs. the BSA which has 5. The battery compartment is designed differently internally and they both work but I like the BSA design beter because the cover is easier to screw on. Also, the lens on the Sightmark is treated with a darker red coating vs. the BSA lens which is treated with a very light green coating. The reticles were almost identical in size and appearance but the clarity and sharpness were a little better on the BSA.

Still, the Sightmark unit does function just like the BSA does so it appears to be a good value for the money if you are only going to use it occasionally like me. If you plan to use it a lot then I would consider the BSA instead because it seems like it would hold up better over time. I haven't actually shot with either sight yet so I can't compare the accuracy but I suspect they will be similar once properly mounted and adjusted.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great little sight
put this on a .22lr ar style rifle. took seconds to mount has spaced screws to make sure the picatinny bracket tightens evenly. zeroed it in a short period of time. has stayed zeroed, 300+ rounds. now i dont know how it would hold up to a 12ga semi auto shotgun....but its a great quick targeting sight. as bright as my eotech, far easier to "find" and "sight" a target. with such an open view. battery life isnt the longest. but for the price...u can afford alot of batteries.. :). comes with a cleaning cloth, rubber sight cover and manual. would recommend on anything smaller then a .308.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - It seemed like a good sight
I bought it for a temperary sight for an AR that will not have any open sights (just a scope that I'm waiting for)so I could break-in the barrel. I mounted the sight and used a laser bore sight to do the initial setting with this sight and all seemed fine. When I got to the range and started zeroing in the sight one shot at a time, I was getting close on the third shot then the 4th did not even hit paper. I had to start again and again the same thing happened. We determined that the sight was moving after a couple shots. since I still needed to clean the bore between each shot, on the third try we were very careful not to bump the sight but again it went off paper on the 4th shot, this leads me to believe the the recoil was causing the sight to lose it's adjustments. I could possibly play around with it more now that the initial brake-in is done but I think I'll put it on my .22 and see how it does there.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Looks good just got it haven't zeroed in yet
The supplier shipped right away but I didn't get a shipment update, when I asked they responded in lest than 24 hours. The product arrived the next day, so I give the supplier 5* Product was easy to mount and looks good I haven't been to the range yet hoping it lives up to others reviews.
