It was a really great way to clear up the congestion from my cold, and I'm convinced the misery of my cold was over faster due to the Neti Pot. Before trying it, I was always scared of this idea of pouring anything through my nose. If you've ever snorted anything through your nose with laughter, you know how it can burn. Done correctly, there is no burning with the neti pot. In fact, once you get used to the unusual sensation, it can feel soothing and relaxing. At times, it does bring back memories of swimming underwater however. One thing you do have to be careful about is accidentally swallowing the salt-water concoction. On my first try, I somehow ended up with a lot of water going down my throat. I do not want to be graphic, so let's just say it didn't stay down there.
