The Bower 5 peace filter kit is indeed a very good deal. The filters are glass, enclosed in separate cellophane wrappers and accompanied with a spare lens cap and hard case that are in themselves worth the price of purchase. The CPL (Circular Polarizer) filter is a bit difficult to remove as there is not a lot of room to grip the filter between the knurled part (used in turning the filter) and the threaded portion that attaches the filter to your camera's lens. But that's not in any way a deal breaker, just be aware of it. As far as I'm concerned you can spend more but you won't get more.

As a Phtotography student I was in need of a set of filters to use on my projects. Rather than spend about [..]for each filter i jumped at the opportunity to get a set for less than what i would spend if i bought them seperate. They arrived on time in fact earlier than what the estimated shipping date was and were in good packaging. Apon opening them i was very please with the quality of the lenses metal contruction and very well made optics and i very much liked the rotating lens on the CP lens. they fit my Canon T1i very nicely and there wasn't any doubt as soon as i tried them that i made a bad choice in buying these lenses. the carrying pouch was a nice touch as well as the extra lens cap that came with the set i would definatly recommend these lenses to anyone who is getting into photography and does not want to spend a ton of money right away on very expensive lenses. Great kit with 4 basic lenses every photographer should have. I leave my UV filter on permanently and I have added all 3 filters on one lens at once. The Cir Polarizing filter is a little more difficult to remove simply because it has a rotating element but that is how it is designed, it is not a flaw or a negative of this product. The ND4 is a good, basic, middle of the spectrum Neutral Density filter and has allowed for some nice water effects. The piece I think I like most about this kit is the lens cap attachment that I stuck to my stock Canon lens cap. Nothing irritated me more than having to take off and put back on the lens cap ad nauseum after digging it out of my pocket or forgetting that I set it down somewhere. Now I just pop it off, it dangles there and it is readily at hand to put back on.
Overall, excellent build quality, great price and a wise investment for the beginning photog.

These filters are well-made with a brushed-metal frame and glass filter. All three work beautifully. As one other reviewer said, the rotating ability of the polarizer is a handy feature.
The lens cap stays on well, as long as it's attached properly. It's popped off a few times as I put my camera back in its case, but that's user-error, not a problem with the cap. I mention it only because others might have the same experience.

I haven't done much with these filters yet as I only received them yesterday but they appear to be well made. My only complaints so far would be that when shipped they are not perfectly clean. There were just a couple little marks that cleaned off with 2 minutes of work. Otherwise, I'm not sure how the little case will work. One review mentioned that the red lining inside gets on the filters and it appears that this may well be the case. If so, it's just a minor annoyance.
