I had a spy D-40 for a little over one year when the flash stopped working. It took good pictures before it stopped working. Moultrie actually told me it would cost me more for them to fix the flash that a new camera would cost. Thanks for your help moultrie. I decided to try a new brand, hopefully it will be better quality.

Got this to catch pictures of deer in my back yard. Works great! And I'm really enjoying seeing what I've caught on camera every few days.

This trail cam pretty much lives up to the expectation I had before buying it. The flash is a visible flash and therefore the critters will see it when it goes off. You get several groups of three pictures with a deer in the first picture and then nothing in the next two, however the day pictures work much better. Based on me walking in front of the camera at night and observing the flashes there does seem to be a few second delay before the camera "wakes up" and starts taking pictures. The photo quality is pretty good. The battery life seems to be good so far. I have had it out non-stop for a few weeks now and it still has around 70% of the battery life remaining. I got an additional SD card and that works out well so you can just go to the camera and swith out the cards. My main purpose was to verify time and presence of deer at several spots on my property and this is doing exactly what I wanted.

I have owned several of this cameras only because a couple of them had worked exceptionally well. My best one was stolen last year so I tried them again. The latest one's picture is grainy and not nearly as good of quality.Problems have ranged from rapid battery drain, pour sensons, pour picture quality, trouble reading SD cards (says they are locked when they are not).
If you get a good one, they rate a 5
If not, they range from 1-3
